Phase 2 of the New WC installation works is approaching completion at the Wellcome Collection Museum in London. 310 Studio’s custom Corian sink has been installed along with the bespoke sink units for the 10 individual cubicles. More to follow..

There’s an interesting exhibition on at the Arnolfini Gallery in Bristol documenting resistance movements in the context of gender politics + perspectives. The exhibition is intensely varied but one exhibit that stood out was self-taught architect, Alice Constance Austin, whose design for a city of 10,000, Llano del Rio, from c. 1916 are particularly interesting.
Austin considered the single-family house to be one of the greatest obstacles to improving the position of women in society and reimagined how both a dwelling and a city might be reshaped / reimagined in response to such. An interesting moment in a great exhibition – check it out if you can!

A zinc clad dormer loft extension - Phase 1 of 310 Studio’s works to a large terraced house in Seymour Road, Bristol are complete. Phase 2 will see a zinc roofed ground floor extension built later this year.
We’ve received a large sample panel of weathering steel cladding-steel that’s designed to rust, with the rust being the final external finish. Here is how it weathered over only 18 days in our test yard!

We found this rather extraordinary corner at the back of the wonderful Tyntesfield House on a recent ramble around its many delights, all lovingly looked after by the National Trust. What a way to turn a corner!
